I work with adolescents 10-18 years old to help manage depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family changes, and grief. I offer a complimentary 20 minute introductory session to new clients. This allows us both to ask questions and for me to learn more about why you’re seeking therapy.
My goal is to provide a sincere, non-judgmental environment for young clients to self-explore and reach their full potential. My approach to counseling is eclectic with a strong emphasis on Person Centered Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral therapy.
I graduated from Texas State University with a Bachelors degree in Education. I also earned a Masters Degree in Counseling from the University of North Texas. In addition to 8 years as a school counselor, I spent the first five years of my career as an elementary school teacher. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, and a member of the American Counseling Association.
I’ve dedicated most of my adult life to helping young people and I look forward to working with more adolescents in the Hood River area.
