Over 20 years of experience in the mental health field.
I have had a variety of professional experiences and been in private practice since 2007. I see children (age 5 and up), adolescents, and adults. My doctorate degree is in clinical psychology with a health emphasis. I have a particular interest in working with individuals with health concerns (e.g., eating disorders, weight management, chronic disease and pain), but I also work with clients through many other life transitions and problems. I have worked as a school psychologist, family therapist for an eating disorder treatment facility, veterans counselor, adult education teacher for individuals with chronic mental illness, and provide pre-surgical psychological assessments for bariatric procedures. I have also provided group facilitation for Weight Management, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Chronic Pain Management, Diabetes Care, and Dialectic Behavior Therapy.
I work with most major insurance companies, including; Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield, Moda, Aetna, PacificSource (commercial and Medicaid/OHP), Medicare/Medicare Advantage, Cigna, Providence, United Behavioral Health, MHN, BridgeSpan, Reliant, Victims of Crime, workers comp (WA L&I, OWCP), and many EAP’s.
